STUPID TALK ABOUT NOTHING

A) My roommate never ever leaves his room anymore to do anything...tonight he stayed home and just got hammered by himself while his girlfriend watched. Its 5 30 AM and he is puking everywhere, she is helping me which is basically giving me absolutely no opportunity to sleep whatsoever.
B) Part of this is not his fault as I have had massive problems sleeping for several days now.
C) Andrea is cleaning up the vomit. She is such an incredible person, often very underappreciated.
D) I've been acting like a sad baby tonight for so many reasons. Basically I am a girl and am incapable of having a good time in college to just go out and act like a college person. Instead of just having a good time and trying to meet people, I get all of the crushes (some more severe than others) and care only about them and totally limit myself. This isn't a fit of self loathing, that is to say, Im not depressed that these people dont like me, and im not depressed that bc im not getting girls (i really could get many), but rather I am wondering what is this oddidity in me that has me focussing on these, like, 5 or 6 girls at a time and shut only everyone else completely out.
The biggest problem is on night like tonight, when I go to two parties and run into so many of these girls and just witness them all hooking up with random people. It all went to hell when I worked the courage to make a move on one of these girls and ended up dancing with her for a while, but ultimately got rejected nasty style. Then I actually made a play and a "random" girl only to be rejected in the most insulting way, to sum it up, she was kind of a bitch. What made matters worse is the one girl that top the list for me was with the worst guy of them all. And I had to hear her friend spend the whole night talk about what a mistake she is making for being drunk with this asshole. It also doesn't help that your two best friends that you've been hanging out with are super popular people that everyone loves.
E) Point of all this mierda is that I just dont get what is wrong with me/what I want. I dont get why I cant hang out, have a good time, maybe put a move or two and some girls on the dancefloor, and move on. They say the best "players" trick (well besides treating girls like shit) is that they have a short term memory, every time they fail, they brush it off and go to the next person. With me, every rejection lingers with me all night long. And even if I were this player that my friends are, I don't want that at all. Ultimately I really want a somehow, somewhat of a semblance of some relationship, someone that is around you and is willing to do shit (i.e. clean up your vomit like my roomate's gf (ps he is still throwing up as i write this)). I guess the main problem is that I am just WAY WAY too picky. And even if I werent, nobody in college is looking for anything past one night, especially girls. I dont know, I guess I just get like this, like a cry baby, when I see this girls that have no idea how I feel, and yet so many of them act like guys are jerks and no one ever pays attention to them, when their lifestyle shows that they actually want the exact opposite as what they say.
F) I guess I just need to stop being a such a baby about all of this. I mean, it really isnt that big of a deal, but tonight put me in a bad mood, and which my roomate being a drunken idiot and keeping me up, and the fact that so many, and i mean MANY, of my friends (especially the jerks) are all now dating and in these great relationships, I figured Id finally let out some of my ranting through some sort of medium. I am happy for them, I am just a super jealous bc I want that for me.
G) The funny thing is when I used to write in this often, I always felt I was limited bc I had to take into account the people I know that read it. But for once, I totally know no one on earth reads this, so my words have been 100% sincere. Even if someone were to read this, they wouldnt be people I see on a regular basis.

Im not sure why, but I just had the urge to temporarily remove my dying LJ and read some of whats going on in my friends' lives and write a little about mine.

My first quarter is officially over. I am officially 1/12 of the way through college, and not any closer to knowing what I want to study or what I want to do with my life.
Admittedly, I was pretty lazy all quarter, but I still managed to not fail and, barring one class I'm not totally sure about, I actually managed to get some pretty good grades good..by miracle.

So far, college has been pretty awesome...its probably different than any other college, but I definately have no complaints.

I'm not sure what else to say..a lot has happened in the sports world,
the Heat still havent picked it up yet (but Im not worried yet, not until Shaq is back)
St. Louis won the World Series....and the Miami Hurricanes finally fired Larry Douchebag Coker.

Oh, and LaDanian Tomlinson is very good, I just thought I'd throw that out there.
Last, and certainly not leaste, the Miami Heat are still NBA Champs.

So thats about it...college has been good, Im still alive. And I have about a week to just relax, start working out and get back in shape, and practice playing bass again. Its incredibly how much you start sucking at music once you don't play for 4 months.

Lastly, I've been listening to ALOT of salsa lately (ironic, just as soon as I leave Miami) and I really want to learn to dance it well now. Sure Ive always managed, but I want to get really good at it. Thats my main goal for this winter break. Shouldn't be a problem.

Its been a while...but here's a quick update.

This summer has been amazing.

So many people have either left or leave in the next two days...I don't know what I'm going to do with the next 3 weeks.

The U.S.A. starts its attempt to regain respect and win the gold at the basketball world championsip's 1 AM (5 minutes from now) in Japan aginst Puerto Rico. I am pumped for the U.S., and Spain too, whose lineup is incredible this year.

Last, but certainly not leaste. Vida Guerra is hot. really hot.
Just though I'd throw that out there.

Well, its been a while, and I am just here to say I am off to go back to the city that last summer I dubbed my favorite in the world (even though I was only there for 4 days, and I am not well-travelled at all, so I really shouldn't be saying things like that). Yes that's right, I'm going back to London, England for 8 days, albeit with my family, this time.

OK so here is another of what is going to most likely be a huge series of Championship posts...

First I want to sound off on these so-called "true" Heat fans around that are actually getting mad and complaining that "all of the sudden everyone is a Heat fan."
I think it important not to be a hater. When the Marlins made their playoff push in 2003, and started paying major attention (I was 9 in '97 so we wont count that). Sure I loved baseball and sure I'd always liked the Marlins, but losing for them didn't bother me, so I wasn't a "true" fan...but them winning was incredible and fun and amazing and inspiring nonetheless. Even though I knew it owuldn't be as sweet for me as it would be for these true fans, I enjoyed it, and, as it turned out, it converted me, because now I am definately a "true" marlins fan who still watches most of there games.
So to those people hating on the bandwagon I say this: let them have fun (I know I did in 2003). Let the Championship bring everyone together and have fun, and who knows, maybe now there will be a lot more die hard fans. Plus, you could feel better (I know I do) knowing that its that much sweeter for us, knowing that we were there for all the heartaches. So let them have there fun, and lets have ours as well.

Next, I want to talk about Marc Stein, my public enemy number 1. The self-professed Heat hater that criticized and talked shit about the Heat since Pat made the trades, and even after they got to the Finals, he said he admitted he was wrong but he knew the Heat were'nt that good and would get owned by the Mavs. This is the guys who wouldn't put the Heat higher than fourth in the power ranking, despite the fact that they were on a 10 game winning streak.
WELL? How does it feel now? I'll let him answer that for himself.

When all the ESPN columnists were asked what would happen if them started the series again tomorrow...he simply responded by saying "Heat in 4. Who could have ever doubted this team?"

Sorry, that's the only personal shit talking I'll do.

But I would like to mention how I am actually getting tired of people complaing about the series..the Heat won period..so stop whinning. Everyone knows I'm a Heat fan, so everyone is leaving me messages saying how I hope I wrote the refs a letter of thank you. Everyone has got to chill out. I didn't complain last year when Wade, Shaq, Damon Jones, Eddie Jones, and Udonis were ALL hurt did I. Maybe if you drove occasionally you would get to the line more, and maybe if you didnt foul Shaq every 2 seconds you wouldn't be in the penalty with 10 minutes left in every Quarter.

The fact remains, we are champs, and nobody, and I mean nobody can take that away from us.

I've paid my dues, time after time. I've done my sentence, but committed no crime.
And bad mistakes, I've made a few. I've had my share of sand, kicked in my face, but I've come through.

We are the champions, my friend. And we'll keep on fighting till the end. We are the champions, We are the champions. No time for losers 'cos we are the champions of the world.

I've waiting a decade to hear that song with meaning, and now I think I've heard it maybe 100 times since Tuesday.

Its very hard to write right now, 10 years of emotion bottled up into one moment would do that to people. I've jsut had one of the craziest nights of my life, and after the game, the partying, the celebration, the madness...all I can say is

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS

I can finally say that my team is better than yours, no matter what.

I am so happy, an so emotional, I just don't really know what to say...
except for that I;m so thankful, so very thankful, and I shall again say that I'll never complain about my bad luck in Sports again.

D-WADE, now Finals MVP is amazing.
I'm so happy for GP, and especially Zo, who almost died, had to stop playing twice, but revitalized his career to finally get his title, and his 5 blocks tonight were huge.

Right now I truly consider myself of one the happiest people in the world.. I wish I could bottle this feeling up forever.

Tonight felt strange. It felt weird going to the Arena knowing that it would be the last game of the season at the American Airlines Arena, even before it started. I guess it was kind of sad. Especially since this is my last year living in Miami (well at least for the next four years). That's why I got so excited when the Heat got Shaq because I dreamed they could win the title before I left, because no matter what happens in the future, winning will never be as fun in the future as it has been the last 10 years, when I would be going to maybe 30 home games a season and every single playoff game. So that is why losing in 7 games last year sucked, because it felt like my last chance. Well, this year we have another chance, and I pretty much just went to my last game for a long time now. That is kind of sad, after all, I basically grew up with the Heat.

Anyway, enough of my shit. They couldn't have made my last game any better.
Dwyane is putting his name on a pedestal, the Heat are up 3-2 in the finals, Spain hasn't lost a World Cup game, the U.S is still alive, and the MARLINS, yes, the MARLINS have won 8 straight. Yes I know they are bad, but I still care and watch most of their games when I can, and check the box score every night, so even them getting a nice streak is awesome.
I truly can't complain.

World Cup 2006...Spain Wins 4-0
NBA Finals 2006....here in Miami, witnissing first hand, in person, probably the most exciting game in franchise history. No matter what happens, I finally can be able to say that I got to see an NBA finals game live.

This summer is shaping up to be so good. I am thankful.
Remind me never to complain about anything ever again.

Ok so I've been putting this off for too long now. Several hours have passed, and I think I am finally ready to write about this and not ramble on completely full of emotion too much.

So today was the day so many nay-sayers were proven wrong. For all the critics who said Pat Riley should never have done so many chnages this summer, that he messed too much with chemistry and made the team worse, too all those people (including Andy Guzman) who DARE say that they HEAT were better off with Lamar Odom, Caron Butler, and Brian Grant?, to all the Marc Steins out there, who talked it all the way to the end.....tonight was for you.

Somebody today told me that I was lucky I went to the Eastern Conference Championship Clinching game. My responce to something like that...well its about damn time we get lucky. I have been waiting for this for 10 seasons now (that much more than half my life). The first time my dad took me to a game was during the 1995-1996 season against the Cavs. We had just gotten Mourning and he led us to victory. I have been obsessed (yes I admit it, obsessed) with this team ever since. We became season ticket holders in the 1997-1998 season. We went to all the games. We were there for all the Knicks fights and rivalry (and losses). Heck, my parents even used there connection to get me a one game job a a HEAT ballboy for my birthday (that too was against the Cavs, and interestingly Bruce Bowen's first game with the Heat. It also fun to point out that at 14 I was already taller than Earl Boykins).When the Heat got terrible and missed the playoffs 3 years in a row, we chose to KEEP the tickets and still go to the game, because we hoped they would one day get good again. So yes, you could call it luck, but it only took a decade. I'll take it anyway.

So today, here I stand a die hard, season ticket holding fan of the 2006 Eastern Conference Champions. And it feels phenomenal.

It was only fitting that they did it with Wade playing mimimally after spending the night in the hospital throwing up and having a fever just an hour before tip off. He still played great, but his teammates (especially J-Will) really stepped it up....Looks like Riley's additions really helped. Pat Riley knew what he was doing....go figure.

The easily owned the 2 on 2 and faced off in the Final, with 400 dollars in prizes at stake

So Im still swollen, my teeth still hurt, I still have a fever, and after 3 whole days since he surgery, I still haven't eaten any real for or even been outside my own room.

But its actually been a pretty humbling experience for me, to be alone so much.
And plus its been good to have my laptop and the NBA Playoffs to keep me company.

Lastly, I have to mention tonight's Cavs-Pistons game. Withe Cavs going up 3-2, we are that much closer to seeing one of the bigger upsets Ive ever seen, and more importantly, a Cavs-Heat Conf Finals.

The truth is, Im not really sure what Im happier about: seeing a D-Wade LeBron Conf Finals, watching the "best" team in the NBA and the team that eliminated us last year fight for their lives..or jsut the fact that we'd face a much easier opponent. I think its the latter.

Well, the Pistons will probably still take it anyway.
If anything sounded incoherent, jsut remember, Im on medication.

Ahhhh, EASTERN CONFERNCE FINALS....IT FEELS SO GOOD TO BE BACK

It turns out the Nets weren't as hard to beat as we though, after losing game 1 we pulled off 4 straight to take it 4-1.
Too bad I missed game 5 tonight because of my surgery, but hey, if I had gone, they probably would have lost.

I hope all the shit talkers can finally shut up...the Heat are definately the second best team in the East, easily, and they proved it in this series.
And I don't think the summer changes "destroyed" our team..in fact, it got us back to where we were before...and no I'm not one of these peoplpe that thinks the Heat can beat the Piston now that they and the Cavs are tied 2-2, but I believe even last year's team would have lost to this Pistons team, so for now, I can jsut sit back and enjoy this victory and watching Sheed swallow more of his predictions.

Sorry for all the emotion, but this is the first time I've been able to get out of bed in the last 48 hrs
